The alleged shooter focused principally Black buyers in what is remaining explained as a racially determined attacks. The Buffalo assault follows past mass assaults on grocery retailers. A Walmart Supercenter in 2019 was the web page of an attack focused on Latinos and immigrants that remaining 23 dead. A 2021 assault on a King Soopers in Boulder, CO, remaining 10 dead. No motive has been publicly declared in that situation.
