A California hiker who fell 70 toes in Tahoe Countrywide Forest last week was saved by his dog in “genuine Lassie fashion” soon after the pup led rescuers to its wounded proprietor, officers reported.
The 53-yr-previous gentleman identified as 911 with his cellphone, complaining that he broke his hip and some ribs, Nevada County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue reported.
Though the call dropped, rescuers explained to KOVR-Tv that they ended up ready to get hold of the hiker’s friend who directed them to the man’s campsite. But the crew of 25 did not right away find the wounded man.
